Movement & Rehab Support at Home in North & West Vancouver
Staying active is one of the biggest factors in a senior’s independence, and one of the hardest things to keep up with alone. Movement & Rehab Support brings guided, rehabilitation-informed exercise and mobility support directly into your loved one’s home, helping them build strength, improve balance, and stay safely active between physiotherapy visits.
This support is a good fit for seniors recovering from surgery such as a hip or knee replacement, those regaining strength and confidence after a stroke, anyone at risk of falls who wants to build balance and stability, and people who’ve finished a physiotherapy program and need encouragement to keep up with it at home. It isn’t a replacement for clinical physiotherapy: it’s the support that helps a physiotherapist’s program actually stick, on the days there’s no appointment on the calendar.
Our rehabilitation-informed approach includes guided exercises, mobility support, and gentle encouragement to help seniors stay active safely.
We focus on building strength, improving balance, and maintaining mobility. We empower seniors to feel more confident and independent in their daily lives.
What movement and rehab support may include:
• Guided exercises based on a physiotherapist’s program
• Mobility practice such as walking and transfers
• Balance and strength exercises
• Safe movement techniques in the home
• Support with using walkers or mobility equipment
• Motivation and accountability to keep moving
Sessions are paced to what’s realistic and safe for each person: never pushing further than is comfortable, always working toward steady, sustainable progress. Where a physiotherapist has already set a program, we work from it directly; where there isn’t one yet, we focus on safe, general movement and encourage checking in with a doctor or physiotherapist as needed.
Movement & Rehab Support is available to seniors across North Vancouver and West Vancouver: from Deep Cove, Lynn Valley, and Edgemont Village to Lower Lonsdale, Ambleside, Dundarave, and the British Properties.
